Red Light Camera Information
About the Program
In an effort to improve public and driver safety throughout the community, the City of Palos Heights utilizes a photo-enforcement program, more commonly known as a "Red Light Camera" program.
Implementation of this type of program aims to reduce possible fatalities, severe personal injury, and property damage due to driver carelessness and/or reckless disregard for the law. Red Light Cameras are only a cost to those who break the law, so please respect the rules of the road. Thank you for helping to keep our roadways safe by remembering to choose safety and stop on red.
Red Light Camera Locations
The City currently has two operating camera systems.
- The southbound approach of the intersection of Illinois Route 83 (College Drive) and Harlem Avenue
- The westbound approach of the intersection of 135th Street and Ridgeland Avenue
